As a Chalmers alumnus with a bachelor’s or master’s degree, you have the opportunity to return to Chalmers to study individual courses from our regular range of education. The same opportunity is available to applicants with a relevant degree from another Swedish or international university. The courses award higher education credits and may have specific entry requirements. If admitted, you will study on campus according to the regular daytime timetable, alongside students enrolled in Chalmers programmes.

Courses for Chalmers alumni

As an alumnus with a bachelor's or master's degree from Chalmers, you can apply for courses from Chalmers’ regular range of courses for the coming study period. This option is suitable for those who want to take a course as part of your lifelong learning and have the opportunity to start your studies immediately. You apply via antagning.se (the Swedish site) and submit (upload) the appendix where you specify which course or courses you want to apply for. There is a short time frame between registration, admission decision and the start of studies and therefore you must not be liable for either the application or the tuition fee.

New for the autumn semester 2027
Please note that an application for the forthcoming term (with an enrolment deadline shortly before the study period begins) will be available for the spring term 2027. After the spring semester 2027, you will be able to apply for courses from our ordinary range of education: between 15 March and 15 April for the autumn semester, and between 15 September and 15 October for the spring semester only. The information on this page will be updated.

Courses for university graduates

If you hold a bachelor's or master's degree from Chalmers, another Swedish or foreign higher education institution, you can apply for courses that form part of our degree programmes. These courses award higher education credits and may have specific entry requirements. If you are admitted, you will study on campus according to the standard daytime timetable alongside students enrolled on the programme.

This option is suitable for those who want to take a course as part of your lifelong learning but need a longer planning horizon. You may want to apply for a leave of absence for studies. You make your application at universityadmissions.se or antagning.se and submit (upload) the appendix where you specify which course or courses you want to apply for.
