We focus on research support, and we deliver nationally unique research infrastructure services based on research at the Department of Life Sciences.

The division consists of two infrastructures: Chalmers Mass Spectrometry Infrastructure (CMSI) and Computational Systems Biology Infrastructure (CSBI).

Chalmers Mass Spectrometry Infrastructure

The Chalmers Mass Spectrometry Infrastructure (CMSI) is a Chalmers infrastructure with the goal of providing cutting edge and efficient quantitative mass spectrometry and structural identification analyses for researchers at Chalmers and beyond.

Computational Systems Biology Infrastructure

The Computational Systems Biology Infrastructure (CSBI) is a Chalmers research infrastructure that provides expert support in bioinformatics and computational biology to researchers both within and outside Chalmers.

Our focus is to provide and develop multidisciplinary research support, both locally in Gothenburg as well as nationally via being part of large, national infrastructures in Sweden. Our team consists of experts in several subject fields including laboratory science, analytical chemistry, systems biology, bioinformatics, mathematics, reproducible research, AI, and automation.
