Basic Science: Pushing the boundaries of knowledge

Basic Science at Chalmers addresses fundamental questions in mathematics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, material science and the life sciences. Our research spans areas such as mathematical modelling, complex systems, quantum science, fundamental chemistry and physics, biomolecular systems and nanoscale phenomena. Driven by curiosity, we combine theoretical, experimental and computational approaches to advance fundamental understanding and explore new scientific frontiers. Chalmers offers a collaborative and international research environment with strong interdisciplinary connections. 

The position is a five-year tenure-track appointment with a competitive start-up package including funding for personnel, equipment, and operational costs.You will also get relocation support, mentoring, and leadership training to support your development as an independent research leader and educator.
